On December 5th 2023 we wrapped up the first ever MENA Games Job Fair. Powered by Games Factory Talents and presented by Nine66 studio, the event was organized to support companies from the MENA region in growing their thriving, modern games ecosystem. It was an educational, wholesome meeting of local studios and talents from all over the world.

Categorization of the attending talents
Much like our familiar Games Job Fair, the MENA Games Job Fair was focused on career-boosting, informative talks, and providing the companies and industry professionals with a chance to hold one-to-one meetings through the PINE platform. Participating alongside Nine66 were Steer Studios, Naphora, Sandsoft, Narsun Studios, and Starvania.
The talks were mostly aimed at helping attendees enter, or make the switch to the games industry. Ali Farha from Star Stable Entertainment AB talked about "Starting Your Journey in the Gaming Industry," while Mafalda Duarte from Telescope Game Studios, and Bengin Bayrak from Fast Travel Games covered the shift from other industries into gaming. Deema Almutairi from Gcon covered breaking into the industry in Saudi Arabia specifically as well.

Other topics included the use of AI in game development, the role of QA in the industry, as well as optimizing one's LinkedIn profile for their job search, a talk provided by Ala' Abu Gharbieh, Senior Account Director at LinkedIn. The event concluded with Ricardo Flores's take on how to grow Saudi Arabia's gaming ecosystem.
